1. Australia First-Leg Flights

Australia-dedicated lines have two originating points: one is international airports in first-tier cities in mainland China such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Shanghai; the other is international airports in Hong Kong. From mainland China, Shenzhen has the advantage of convenience. Many e-commerce sellers have offices and warehouses in Shenzhen, making direct loading and shipping from Shenzhen faster. However, Shenzhen has more flight resources.

From Guangzhou, goods need to be transshipped from Shenzhen to Guangzhou before being loaded onto a plane. The advantage of loading from Guangzhou is that Guangzhou has more international flights, with strong cargo capacity and less likelihood of warehouse congestion. Shanghai is mainly used by freight forwarders in the Yangtze River Delta region for delivering goods, and will not be discussed further here.

From Hong Kong, relying on Hong Kong's abundant flight resources and relaxed trade policies, it offers rich logistics resources and supports the mailing of items containing batteries. Generally, Australia-dedicated lines or other dedicated line channels that support items containing batteries primarily use Hong Kong. However, using Hong Kong is more expensive due to transit fees.

2. Australia First-Leg Transportation Methods

There are two methods: direct air freight and air freight transshipment. Direct air freight is commonly used for Australian express lines and dedicated Australian lines, offering high overall freight efficiency and short delivery times, enabling fast delivery of goods to Australia. Generally, direct air freight takes about 1-3 days. Air freight transshipment involves goods transiting through Singapore or other countries before being delivered to Australia, resulting in a longer delivery time, generally 3-6 days. Some Australian economy lines, such as small parcel lines, primarily use the air freight transshipment model.

3. Customs Clearance Models

Australian dedicated lines generally do not provide customs clearance services, including Australian small parcel lines, dedicated Australian lines, and Australian express lines, because Australia's tariff threshold is relatively high, generally eliminating the need for customs clearance. However, some channels do provide customs clearance services, such as Australian air freight lines and Australian sea freight lines handling large volumes of goods, offering DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) prepaid customs duties and DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) models to handle customs clearance.

4. Last-mile Delivery Methods

There are two last-mile delivery methods for Australia's dedicated lines: Australia Post handles last-mile delivery, and commercial express services such as TOLL, Fastway, and Border are used. Australia Post's advantage lies in its wide coverage and lack of remote area surcharges. Commercial express services offer high efficiency and fast delivery, but incur remote area surcharges and higher transportation costs. Australia Post delivery is generally used for Australia's small parcel dedicated line.

5. Delivery Time

Express lines: First-leg transportation 1-3 days, customs clearance and collection 2-3 days, last-mile delivery 2-4 days, overall delivery time approximately 5-10 days.

Slow lines: First-leg transportation 3-6 days, customs clearance and collection 2-3 days, last-mile delivery 3-6 days, overall delivery time approximately 8-15 days.
